Apabila keduanya ingin menyapih (sebelum dua tahun) berdasarkan persetujuan dan musyawarah antara keduanya, tidak ada dosa atas keduanya. Apabila kamu ingin menyusukan anakmu (kepada orang lain), tidak ada dosa bagimu jika kamu memberikan pembayaran dengan cara yang patut. Bertakwalah kepada Allah dan ketahuilah bahwa sesungguhnya Allah Maha Melihat apa yang kamu kerjakan.
So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is unwell or over a journey - then an equal number of other times. Allah intends for you relieve and won't intend for you personally hardship and [desires] that you should complete the time period also to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.
